Match Report
Truro School Girls-U12A vs  County Tournament
On: Thursday, 04 Apr 2019
Venue: Away

On a rather wet and windy day the U12 Girls travelled to Bude. With 21 teams entered, all teams were split into groups of 5. We were drawn in a tricky group with Penair, MBS, Launceston and Newquay Treviglas. After a prop stop on the way to Bude which was completely out of our control, we had a rush to register, complete a warm up and get on court all within 10 mins! We played our first game, unsettled and literally dropped in at the deep end, a game we should of won but as the focus wasn't quite there we lost 6-3. Getting a good warm up in and getting focused for the next games to come, we were motivated and determined to step our game up and get the results in the following games. We put on a outstanding performance against Mounts Bay, beating them a convincingly 8-0. Once one goal came the others followed extremely quickly. With a short break in between games, we were up against Launceston and Treviglas where we ensured we got the wins and so it was 5-0 and 7-1. Finishing second in the group meant we went in a group with all the other second placed teams, however we would of beaten Penair i truly believe if we had more preparation time and they went on to be Runners up of the tournament. In our group we played Brannell and won 2-1, we then went onto play Helston and drew 1-1, Mounts Bay School we faced again but only getting a draw with them this time at 3-3 they definately stepped there game up and finally playing Falmouth and ending the day beating them 5-1. It was a long, wet and windy day but the players played lots of Netball and won there group in the afternoon which meant they came 7th overall out of 21 teams which is a massive achievement for them. I was pleased with there effort, hardwork and attitude throughout the day. Well Done Girls! Miss Manley
