Match Report
Truro School Boys-U15/U16 vs  West Buckland School
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

Following on from the unfortunate defeat against Mount Kelly, the team were raring to go straight away to play their second opponents, West Buckland.School. Our passing was stronger with a greater use of the width of the pitch used and were starting to mark players much more effectively. Unfortunately, West Buckland School's forwards proved to be a true challenge for our team. Some excellent footwork and teamwork saw some sharp and swift goals made against Truro School. However, once again, our team did not give up. Several breaks were made with the ball being sent to our forwards who played the ball successfully in to the opposition's D, only just missing the goal on each occasion. After a couple of changes to positions at half time, the team found their flow more easily and ensured that West Buckland School would not have an easy win. Although the boys did not win their games, the experience against both West Buckland School and Mount Kelly has set them up for the season well. Each of the boys has reflected on what they need to focus on at training and went away from the astro turf having fully enjoyed the games. I look forward to seeing where this season takes both the U14 and U15 teams.
