Match Report
Truro School Girls-U15 vs  Mount Kelly
On: Saturday, 08 Dec 2018
Venue: at Home

The girls impressed in the first match of this weekends triangular fixture when they faced a strong and talented Mount Kelly side. Whilst the majority of the team consisted of fourth years, Evie, Evelyn, Livvie and Heidi, from the third year completed the starting line up. Captained by Lizzie the girls started off strongly and dominated the play for the first fifteen minutes of the first half. An early short corner, that went on to show the importance of having someone backing up outside the D, saw the injection missed but superbly retrieved and fed back in by Heidi. It was brilliantly placed to the top of the D and Millie struck it hard to put the team ahead. Heidi was on fine form and slotted the second go home a couple of minutes later. Mount Kelly were always looking to break however and caught the girls napping somewhat to score their first goal of the match and to bring the half time score to 2-1. After the break and with some positioning switching the girls responded well to their own half time team talk. Again the Truro girls dominated the play with the defence rarely troubled. That said, they were caught on the break and Mount Kelly pulled one back. The girls responded well with Katy scoring our third! Players player, as voyted for by the opposition was captain Lizzie!
