Match Report
Truro School Boys-U13 vs  West Buckland School
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

The U13 Boys had both fixtures at home this weekend. Starting the games on a positive note the boys had a good, well prepared and organised warm up. The first game was against Mount Kelly which first game of the season. They started the game strong as very much as a team rather than individual play, they piled the pressure straight on. The boys had some lovely passages of play thinking about the angles they were taking the shots from and playing as a unit rather than individuals. There were some individual runs and some fantastic individual goals that the keeper had no chance of stopping. The game ended 6-0, but could of been more if we stuck to the formation in the 1st half but this was the time for trial and error before playing the National Cup game on Thursday against Blundells. Playing against West Buckland the boys were on a high from playing such fantastic hockey against Mount Kelly. The first half they started sleepy but when they woke up, found there positions and started playing as a unit again the boys were on fire. It was a very convincing and well worked team effort. The boys played some cracking, text book hockey throughout both games, i was extremely pleased with there attitude and positivity to each other and the other teams on the day, it makes me feel extremely positive going into weeks National Cup Game.
